Life Through the Eyes of a Believer

The universe is made up of energy in the form of water and air. Everything in the universe, including ourselves is energy. Energy cannot be destroyed. If everything is energy, and energy can never be destroyed, it only stands to reason that life we cannot be destroyed. So, if you have ever lost a son, daughter, loved one or parent - their body is what was destroyed, but their soul which is energy lives on. This energy was passed down through them to us, and continues on forever. We are everything that has ever been, and our thoughts come from those gone before us. This being understood - we are nothing more than black and white blips of energy in the image of God. He sent his son, Jesus, many years ago to help us understand this concept. To help us see, that what we do matter and to show us how to best do our work. Jesus was a quiet man who went about his business with much on his plate. Did he complain? NO WAY! He understood, and came to understand for himself how we become easily swayed by the wiles of the devil. The Devil plays it cool, to convince as many as he can to follow him - but Jesus saw through him and resisted showing us how. When we follow Jesus we walk in his very footsteps, and can see and understand that life is no different now as it was back then. Except for one thing, the Devil knows his time is getting short and he needs to gather as many as he can. Those truly faithful to God, can never be swayed as they are willing to die for Him, just as Jesus died for us. This is the way of Jesus teachings. The true followers of God have the same abilities as Jesus did back then, only we do not exercise those abilities to our full potential. The reason could be vanity - we think, "but what will they think of me then?" We need to stand up and overcome these thoughts! Imagine the embarrassment and shame Jesus went through, as He was disrobed and torched before being crucified. Yet, He never complained and complied as was asked to - even though he knew he was innocent of all charges. His life was perfect. He had it all - respect, parents that loved him, followers, many talents and abilities that He exercised in his many positions in life as a teacher, healer, listener and friend to all. He was able to do it all and did it extraordinarily well. As we see through Jesus, when anyone proves they can do many tasks well and lead others - it invokes a level of jealousy and disbelief. Jesus was showing us how to live in acceptance - that it was not through words one leads, but through actions and deeds. He taught his disciples (followers) to do the same. Yes, Jesus was bullied and yet, he stood strong in his convictions to the very end - after all, this is the only way. He recognized that we all have the same abilities - yet, many never develop their true self. Many will get greedy, and boast or gossip, Jesus was a silent and quiet man who never boasted or gossiped. If you have ever been bullied, you understand what Jesus went through and how he felt. He saw that ounce of goodness in the criminal crucified beside him, and even as hit was nailed before many he remained strong and led to the end saying to the convict who realized Jesus' innocence and could not understand why he did not save himself, "Tomorrow you will be with me in Paradise." He was not just speaking to the convict, he was speaking to everyone watching and everyone not even born or thought of - he was speaking to you and I. For following his leadership, we too have been promised a place in Paradise free of all the devilish ways. No more bullying or pain or sorrow or hurt. I follow him every day of my life. Do you? Amen!
